Today is theme day, in the City Daily Photo community, and the subject is graffiti. I’m pleased to report there is very little graffiti to be found. However, I did find this cute X and O graffiti at the Linky Stone Park.

Sailor Girl said,
Ah Ah! It is cool!!!!
Jilly said,
Oh this is funny - and original.
Galley said,
My favorite is the “Frosty, Man!” dog.
Gerald said,
O come now - surely there are SOME worse examples than this?
is this part of a game of noughts and crosses?
Neva said,
I do like how you were able to find these! and you did an awesome job including them at the same time…what a hoot!
Southern Heart said,
You are lucky to not have graffiti to photograph (we have plenty!).
~tanty~ said,
Hehe .. I think this is kind of funny.
ben said,
Are you sure it’s not some sort of marking your city council left for “dig here later”?

Many years ago the XOs or multiples of same were used at the closing of a note to a loved one, and sometimes on the back outside flap and they meant hugs and kisses. I love it that the practice has started again. A few years ago a friend of mine started using them at the end of emails to me, and I returned the sentiments. And more friends/family/loved ones are using these again.
Helen said,
Definitely understated!
Denton said,
Thanks for you comments everyone … Several speculations where given on the meaning of the X and the O. I like to think Ann and Edwin were correct. Hugs and Kisses.
Kate, I will share a mural photo of two next week.
Gerald, we are very lucky to not have much graffiti. Although we do have some it is quickly painted over.
Gallery, I agree that one of Greenville’s best street murals is the frosty man.
Neva, to get the top of both poles in the photo at the same time I have to stand on my tip toes and hold the camera extended above my head. Not too bad for shooting blind.

Glad to hear the area is relatively graffiti-free. I am amazed at the amount of graffiti in europe. Nice shot though, you have a good eye!
