I believe Greenville is known to be a family friendly mid-size city with an outstanding downtown area which includes Falls Park and the Liberty Bridge. But most of all I believe Greenville is known to have many wonderful trees. In short Greenville is green … Today’s photo attempts to capture all of the elements mentioned above … To see theme day photos from around the world click on the following links. Greenville might be the greenest place on earth :-)
Even the background of this site is green. hehe

Great commentary. Very true!

My cousin and his family would agree…they absolutely love living there.

My husband and I were talking about Greenville last week because I was telling him that it seems to me that your downtown is pretty vibrant compared to what ours is like. I’m glad that you mentioned that in your post today because that is what comes to my mind now that I’ve discovered Greenville through your wonderful photos. One of these days, we need to do a weekend trip there.

Green ville! Duh ;-)
Were you hanging from a copter to take this photo?
Kuanyin said,
Did you climb to the tallest tree to photograph this peaceful scene? Wow!
Greg said,
Mmmm a picnic - what a great idea!
I am enjoying traveling around the daily photo blogs learning what their areas are famous for!
Edwin said,
I love trees and their shadows when the sun strikes them. And a picnic… Should get the zoom lens out to see what yummy goodies are in the basket.
Lovely shot.

Looks like a scene from a movie. Very nice.
ann said,
you captured the theme for Greenville well Denton.
Denton said,
Sally, thank you.
Jilly, one of my favorite photo opportunities is of women pushing baby strollers. It seems like a very positive statement.
Jelvistar, very peaceful.
Ham, I took the photo early in January. Recently we have had much colder weather and sadly no picnics. However, our Winters are mild and I suspect picnic weather will return shortly.
Deslilas, thank you.
keropokman, a much enjoyed picnic spot which seems to never by crowded.
Lessie, I’m pleased you concur.
Southern Heart, lucky cousin you have.
chris, you are correct. Greenville’s downtown is award winning and recognized as a model across the US.
Isabella, yes we are very Green in more than one way.
Kuanyin, I mentioned the Liberty Bridge in my explanation. I took my photo from the Liberty Bridge.
Greg, I agree, theme day has been fun.
Edwin, it turns out I’m a tree hugger as well.
