This photo of Main Street shows there was dense fog in downtown Greenville yesterday. I took this photo on my walk to work and was pleased with how it turned out. Specifically; I like the perspective from the middle of the street and the ornamental lights on the bridge.

It rained yesterday as shown by this photo of the Charles Townes statue in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 01/23/2008.
It was a rainy day in Greenville yesterday as shown by this photo of the Charles Townes statue in downtown Greenville. Charles Townes is a Greenville resident best know as a Nobel prize winner for his formulas which lead to the invention of the laser. Today’s photo shows part of the statue depicting the envelope on which he wrote the formula … I think the world was fortunate it was not raining on the day when the formula was originally written.

It was very cold in Greenville yesterday so instead of going for a walk looking for a photo opportunity I went looking for a cup of hot chocolate. Then I turned that into a photo opportunity.

Yesterday, I noticed a new bird house next the Reedy River across from RiverPlace. I found this new construction, of a bird house, a nice complement to the recent construction of the Hampton Inn and Terrace condo complex.

The sun came out yesterday and with the warmer temperatures most of the snow melted. However, given Greenville has additional snow forecast for today I thought I would share another photo of the snow. On Thursday I took this photo of a bridge railing in downtown Greenville. Personally I like the perspective.
