January 24, 2008 - Main Street during dense fog in Greenville

A view of Main Street during a dense fog in Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 1/24/2008.
This photo of Main Street shows there was dense fog in downtown Greenville yesterday. I took this photo on my walk to work and was pleased with how it turned out. Specifically; I like the perspective from the middle of the street and the ornamental lights on the bridge.

Love the photograph. It is so atmospheric I can feel the fog on my face. I check your site every day. It makes me want to live in Greenville.

I imagine London can look like this. Sherlock Holmes and Denton both walk in the fog.

I like how the lights are less and less . . . so are the stripes on the pavement.

Woo! Very poor visibility. Have to be careful.
Nice blog you have. The photos are very nice and beautiful.

Norma, thank you. If you can not live in Greenville I’m glad you visit our site daily.

alicesg, thanks. I was pleased with the perspective and depth of the photo.

Annie, your comment made me smile.

Leonda, yes the strips and the maps disappear in the distance. It gives depth and atmosphere to the photo.

Alexander, when walking the visibility was not a big deal. Driving would have been a much bigger concern.

Brilliant shot, Denton! I wasn’t able to go downtown that day, but got off a few clicks of some trees in the incredibly dense fog. :)
