On Thursday evening, a good friend treated us to drinks at the Brown Street Club in downtown Greenville. It was a very enjoyable Christmas present … The band played blues with poinsettias in front and a Christmas tree in the background … The Brown Street Club has recently doubled in size and the result is very impressive.

As part of my walk to work series I am sharing a photo from my walk home last night. It was a rainy night, a little cold, but overall very pleasant. The scene is from a walking path in Falls Park. The building in the background is River Place which is backlit by multiple colors

I found the photo opportunity appealing … Okay I admit that the title, I chose, sounds a bit like the start of a joke. But I have no punch line … You can see photos from inside the Michelin on Main store in this previous post.

While strolling in downtown I took this photo of a beer truck restocking one of the local bars. I’m not that knowledgeable on beer so it was news to me that Yuengling is the oldest brewery in America. The sign says since 1829. I wonder how old some of the breweries are in other parts of the world? Maybe some of the City Daily Photo blog community members will comment with information from where they live.
PS: I Googled the subject of oldest breweries and found Andrew’s Virtual Brewery which list information about beer around the world.
