Last week, these students from J.L. Mann High School, were staging and video taping a production in Falls Park. They agree to let me share a few photos with the world on GreenvilleDailyPhoto. I understand they were working on a Social Studies project in which there were re-enacting a Roman myth … I know they were having a great time and I’m sure the video will be lots of fun to watch as well. There preperation indicated they had researched the subject so I hope they get an A+ in Social Studies.

When I taught Spanish on the high school level, I used to have the kids write commercials one semester and short plays the second semester. We’d then record them and play them back for all the classes. It was a lot of fun for them, and they learned so much more than if I had just taught them the vocabulary. I’m glad other disciplines are using these means to teach kids.
BTW. . .Thanks for your comments about the abandoned barns. What you said makes sense. I guess I just hadn’t thought about that. My brother-in-law is a dairy farmer, and we don’t think his three sons will be following in his footsteps as they are either teaching or going in that direction. The farm has been in my husband’s family for over 100 years. . . . .
