Because it has been so dry in the South East many of us were thankful to see the clouds roll in … This photo was taken yesterday evening. You can tell by the lighting that the sun was peaking out from the clouds. The Bank of America building is in the middle of the photo.

Today’s photo shows red leaves accented against a blue sky. The photo was taken last Sunday … Greenville has a large variety of trees and even though the leaves are almost gone on this particular variety there are several others which are still turning from Summer green to one of Fall’s many colors … Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
This photo shows the Falls Lake Fall sculpture in downtown Greenville. You may remember this recently posted photo of the fountain the sculpture stands in.
My daughter, son-in-law, and their dog Lucy will join us for Thanksgiving later this week. In preperation I went in search of Greenville’s dog park called Canine Corner in Cleveland Park … The plaque next to the statue says it is named “High Four” and was created by Louise Peterson … In the Canine Corner lucky dogs run and play without their leases. Their humans appear to have a great time as well.
PS: Here is a link showing the artist Louise Peterson and High Four.
Although this photo blog is all about living downtown in Greenville, sometimes you need to go for a drive. So on Sunday I grabbed my camera, lowered my convertible top, and took a short 30 minute drive to the “mountains” just outside of Greenville. The Fall colors were great as was the weather … Notice the perspective on these photos and you will experience the feel of driving a convertible.

PS: For local readers, can you guess which of the thumbnails was taken in Cleveland Park in downtown Greenville?
Yesterday I took this photo of the fountain and sculpture at the entrance to Falls Park. I felt today’s photo shows the art from an interesting perspective which includes some of the Fall colors … The sculpture is called Falls Lake Falls and to appreciate the design you will need to click on the thumbnails included below … A plaque says that Falls Lake Falls was created by Bryan Hunt and was endowed by The F.W. Symmes Foundation in memory of Katherine McKinnon Wilkinson.
