My daughter, son-in-law, and their dog Lucy will join us for Thanksgiving later this week. In preperation I went in search of Greenville’s dog park called Canine Corner in Cleveland Park … The plaque next to the statue says it is named “High Four” and was created by Louise Peterson … In the Canine Corner lucky dogs run and play without their leases. Their humans appear to have a great time as well.
PS: Here is a link showing the artist Louise Peterson and High Four.

“High Four” is pretty humorous! We do not have enough canine parks in our city. Too bad.
Dog parks are great for our pets and a great place to meet other dog lovers. I have taken Bear to one when we visit Annapolis, MD a couple years ago.
Great post! I love this park! I make it a rule to not go to G’ville during the weekend — except for the dog park! :)
Hi Denton,
Haven’t been here in a while, but am in the U.S. on business and of course, get the courtesy USAToday newspaper deliverd to the hotel room. I had to write to you to tell you that I saw an article this morning about the housing market in the U.S. and they mention Greenville as one of the spots that has not been affected by the slump. I immediately thought of you. Maybe a good time to invest?
Nice scenery, and what a great statue. As for dog owners having fun too… I can tell you, there was always something so very special about seeing my dog running around happy. It does a heart good!
Thanks,
Wayne
Ann, best wishes.
Lessie, I feel remiss for not having taken this photo before. Actually I have look previously and not found the dog park. On this excursion I stopped and asked a policeman for directions.
Michael, thanks for stopping by to visit. It must be tough to leave Paris … I think USA has it right in that the housing market seems fairly solid in Greenville.
Wayne, there are a lot of dog lovers out their. I almost always get positive comments when a dog is featured in a photo.
I love this. The sculptor has really captured the way a dog does this.
