November 14, 2007 - Pink ladies

These pink ladies are at the intersection of Main Street and Augusta in Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 11/14/2007. Some of you may have noticed the “London Daily Photo Helps Cancer Care” fundraising link in our sidebar. A friend of mine, Ham from London Daily Photo, has set a personal goal to raise £10,000 in a year for the fight against breast cancer … I encourage our readers to click on the link, visit the London Daily Photo blog, offer some comments of encouragement, and donate if you can … The photo I posted today shows the pink ladies at the intersection of Main Street and Augusta in downtown Greenville.

Yes Denton, Ham’s story is very moving and I plan to add a link on blog too.
So glad you are supporting him and his wife in their project. I’m sure the community of Daily city bloggers can do a lot to spread the word.

These pink ladies are present both a strange and moving impression, catch the eye and the heart.

Haven’t seen them! Will have to drive down there. Interesting.

I thought they had actually gone so far as to put belly buttons in them, but realized it was just a mounting bolt, on the far right Pink Lady. Any relation to the Pink Ladies of “Grease!”?

I applaud your efforts in a good cause. I will check out Ham’s project and see what (little) I can do to help.

Thanks,

Wayne

I probably should add an explanation on my blog too re. Ham; just never occurred to me to explain the logo! The pink ladies are important figures to highlight!
