Denton, you’ve got a great series here. I’ll bet Jared is pleased with them. I would be if I were your subject. The Johnny Cash is stunning. Thanks for having this idea.

I am always amazed to see others painting. It brings back all the smells, aching fingers and arms and memories of watching people at shows. Nice photography.

He is very talented and so are you. Great paintings and pictures.

I like several of those in the background. Do you own one of his paintings? It would be difficult to choose.

Super photo. It’s almost as if the artist is painted, rather than photographed, too. Don’t know how you did that! Very interesting artist - such detail.

Nicely photographed, Denton, each one of your photos a work of art. I particularly felt my eye drawn back again and again to the two faces, the last photo.

Appears to be a pseudo-HDR photo. I like these and the subject is very captivating. With so much art in the shots, I found myself gazing at them for quite awhile. Great work as always, Denton.

These are great photos. Not only is Jared an amazing artist, he is a wonderful person. He is also a friend of mine, I am honored to say.

Lynette, thank you. I have not visited with Jared yet so I also hope he is pleased with the results. Jared will be pleased your recognized his Johnny Cash painting.

Abe, I was intrigued in how Jared moved when painting. I’m afraid my keens and back could not tolerate painting for an extended time. Personally, from a photographic prospective, I am interested in the colors and textures of a painter pallet.

Jim, thank you.

Leonda, no not yet. But maybe one of these days before Jared becomes so famous I can not possibly afford one of his paintings.

Jilly, I played with the shadows and the highlights using Photoshop. I found it more appealing than the photo with no effects.

Annie, I liked the symmetry of the two faces and the similar expression on each.

Justin, yes and in most of the photos each piece of art shows only a glimpse of the whole. I think the mystery of what the whole piece looks like adds the enjoyment of the photo … Also, on the effects. Using Photoshop I pushed the shadows and highlights.

Ann, I remember your introducing us to Jared at the Ric Standridge love show.
