Last night, a group of us visited friends who have a condo in The Terrace at River Place in downtown Greenville … Naturally I brought my camera … Today’s photo was chosen because I felt it described the evening … Great views, fun times, and even better friends … Click on the following thumbnails to see the view from their balcony. The images show the view from left to right facing downtown.

Your anti-spam word for today says it all, Denton! What beautiful night shots and what lucky friends you have to get to look at that scenery every day.

Great photos and oh what a great place to live.
Jim K said,
Great views and the colors are super.

All the pics are gorgeous…I love the color of the sky! I’m planning on romping around downtown tonight myself - the weather is perfect: just crisp enough to pull out my coats and sweaters but not have icicles hanging off my nose!

All i can say is AWESOME and BREATH TAKING and i live here!! I feel so very lucky…just look at the beauty. Thank you for these and my sitting at the peace center for moonlight movies not to long ago i often looked at that building and wondered what the places inside looked like. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

It’s hard not be envious! Thanks for sharing the “feel” of your evening and those views.

Justin, thank you. I was pleased with how the photos turned out. I especially liked the panoramic effect the four thumbnails had.
Rich, thank you. I is great to have friends with this view and for them to invite me to take photos.
Marsha, thank you. Personally I love night photography and I have to limit myself or all of my photos would be after dark … As for my friends view. You can see in the fourth thumbnail how large their windows are. The view literally wraps around you.
Ann, a very nice place indeed and some very nice people who live there as well.
Jim K, thank you.
Kristi, the cooler weather seems to clear the air and add sharpness to one’s photos. I especially like taking twilight photos where the blue in the sky is so vivid.
Zsolt, we love our trees.
Jazzkiver, you are welcome. I’m happy I have satisfied your curiosity. Check back this weekend because I plan to post a photo of the inside of their condo.
Brian, yes it is hard to not be envious. However, at the same time we all benefit because of the positive economic impact these developments have as well as the view they present. Next week I plan to share a photo of the lights which shine on the Terrace at night. They put on quite a show … As for the feel of the evening. It was definitely one of good friends gathering to enjoy each others company.

PS: Brian it was nice to visit with you on the First Friday Art crawl last week. I have some great photos from that evening as well and plan to share a few over the next week or so.

I’ve really enjoyed all five photos, Denton, clicking on them several times to get the total impact of the view. I have a question, please. Is that an ampitheater in the 2nd and 3rd thumbnail, with a stage that backs up to the river? Thanks for stopping by my blog, too.
