November 1, 2007 - Theme day - A blue Jeep crossing Main Street

A blue Jeep crossing Main Street in Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and published at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 11/1/2007. Today is theme day in the City Daily Photo Blog community. The color blue is our theme and I have chosen to share this photo of a blue jeep crossing Main Street in downtown Greenville … The Jeep was stopped at a traffic light. As we walked past I snapped a photo with the camera hanging lose by my side. I did have to straighten and crop a little plus the shot was into the sun. But overall it was an interesting photo … Click on the following links to see blue photos from around the world:

Great picture…I don’t think I’d mess with the driver.

Love that it is so close — and the color so vibrant.

Like this. I always thought a Jeep was a muddy green colour - this is great! Nice phone, Denton.

I agree with everyone, the driver looks like he’s really mad!! But the car is really cool. I did not know they have blue Jeeps.

Loved Norma’s comment, and I agree; he looks gruff or maybe just surprised to have his photo taken. The jeep is very, very blue!

That jeep looks new.

I emailed the Historical Society to ask them the meaning of my blue wall mural photo. They gave me an interesting description. Please stop by my site to read about it. Thanks.

The vibrant blue is really nice. Really looking at the man’s face, specially his mouth, he looks to me like he is almost about to smile…and I have a feeling he is just a big teddy bear.
It would be interesting if someone checking out this site would know him and tell us about him.

Thank you for all your comments and the fun we had today. Touring the world looking the different photographic interpretations of the theme blue was a blast. My favorite was Olivier from Evry France who posted his photo of a blues club called the blue note which resides in a blue building.

Also, please note that I agree with Ann. I think the driver, in my photo today, was very close to a smile.
