On Sunday night we attended the Upstate Shakespeare Festival performance of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow presented in downtown Greenville. This skull was a prop used in the play. I thought the skull fit into the Halloween theme … I recommend the Shakespeare performances to local readers. Check the Upstate Shakespeare Festival website for a schedule of performances. They are free outdoor performances and are very enjoyable.

Sounds like fun. That is one of the things I like so much about Greenville is that there is always something to do around downtown.
Hey Denton, any photos of Autumn colors? Unfortunately, by the time i get to take another day trip there any Fall colors will probably be gone.

Nice and appropraite though I often wonder why such things are used in the first place.

Ironically, My fiance’ and I are getting married at a place called Sleepy Hollow in Clemson. VERY BEAUTIFUL place! Will be a full moon on the evening of our ceremony…maybe I will also have a legend at sleepy hollow to tell about??
Happy hallows-eve!

Jules, thank you … Halloween has shifted from lots of children trick-or-treating to more of a reason to party.
R&R (Rich) thanks.
Ann, it is a little early for Fall colors but I’m sure there will be lot of photo opportunities in November.
Abe, if I ran across a skull it would give me a scare.
Cari, congratulations and best wishes on your wedding.
Rich, we all had a good time.

We had so much fun at that performance. We set-up our chairs and rap ourselves in a new blanket from Mast General, with a bag of candy from the same, felt like kids ourselves. The folks in front of us had a little camping picnic table, thermos, the works. Very happy we found this place to live.
PS….I know you would have snapped a picture of the “Headless Horseman” if they had allowed picture taking :-)
