October 28, 2007 - A bicycle and sign in front of Ristrorante Bergamo

A bicycle and sign in front of Ristrorante Bergamo in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 10/28/2007. Today’s photo is a follow-up to yesterday’s. Both highlight signs provided by the City of Greenville. What I like most about today’s sign is the tiny skyline at the bottom. It’s a nice touch.

I love the feel of this setting! I see the bicycle and the words, “Explore Greenville,” and immediately imagine myself on a bike touring the city’s attractions, trails, and parks. Great capture!

On a similar note, I see a new business has opened on West North Street where people can rent segways to tour downtown. That is another unique transportation idea for Greenville. You can visit their website at:

Before I even read Justin’s comments I just stared at this photograph. There is something about it that touches me, makes me “feel” something, but I don’t know what.

Justin, actually I set out the take photos of the tiny skyline. Then I backed up to get a larger view to share a perspective. When I prepared my post I realized this photo selected had the best composition even though I did not see it when I took the shot … Connie and I have rented seqways in Washington and found them to be lots of fun.

Ann, one of the photo bloggers who’s work I admire the most once said something to the effect that what he liked most in a photo was a bicycle and/or texture. The photo blogger I mention is Sam Javanrouh and he publishes Daily Dose of Imagery from Toronto.

Rich, thank you.

Denton, I checked out Sam’s photo blog…wow! amazing photos. What kind of photo equipment does he use I wonder, and if he uses lense filters.
