I found the combination of the art, the table, and the Cazbah tag line appealing. This photo is of their window facing on to the street and was taken in the late afternoon. Actually I have posted several photos of the Cazbah in the past. My favorite was of a shadow in this same window.
October 25, 2007 - The Cazbah offers Tapas, Wine, and Euphoria

Wow, Denton, what an evocative photo you have here. I agree with you about the other photo, too–it’s brilliant. Is the food good there, too?

Tapas, wine and euphoria, what a program! And I’m with Lynette, I do like both photos too.

The Cazbah is one of the truly special places to dine in downtown. It has an eclectic yet refined quaint atmosphere that is perfect for romantic evenings - especially after a concert at the Peace Center. This shot captures the warm, sophisticated nature of the place very well. Wonderful job, Denton!

Wow, that is nice Denton. I also liked the shadow one but prefer this one. Very nice.

Oh dear, I forgot the anti-spam word and lost all I’d written. Grrrrr to me.
Lovely photo, and adore the one you published before. That’s very special. Both great tho and looks a super place to eat. No a terrific place, following your anti-spam word!

Jilly, here is a tip I use literally EVERY time I have to type replies or comments: Select your text and copy it by either right-clicking your mouse and selecting “copy,” or select your text and press keys Ctrl+C. I typically use the first method and it has been a life-saver many times over since computers sometimes have a way of acting strange at the wrong times. Once you have copied your text, it won’t matter if you lose it because you can then just paste it in the box as if you retyped the entire comment verbatim. To paste your text anywhere, either right-click your mouse and select “Paste,” or place your cursor in the text box and press Ctrl+V. If your computer is especially naughty, you might want to backup your comments by pasting them into a basic text document on your hard drive and quickly save it until you’ve delivered the message properly.

I love both photos.
One day I will check out this restaurant. Looks very interesting. Even though it won’t be “romantic” for me since I am single and not attached to anyone :-),
I still enjoy eating out in my own company :-)
Justin, I get the impression you are a very romantic guy. Very nice for your wife, girlfriend, or any woman you date :-)

Lynette, thank you. The food at Cazbah is outstanding. My wife and I have tried all the dishes on the menu. We are working our way down the wine list.
Alice, thank you. The euphoria part is because the restaurant is best enjoyed with a crowd. Given the servings are tapas style each person normally orders two or three choices and then everyone shares with the table. It is lots of fun.
Justin, I like your expression “an eclectic yet refined quaint atmosphere”.
Abe, a wow from Mr. wow himself. Thank you.
Jilly, hopefully the advice Justin offered will help. Also, on our blog, if you make a mistake on the anti-spam word you can normally back arrow and what your comment will still be available … Thanks of for your complements.
Justin, thanks for the tips.
Ann, the Cazbah can be romantic however in my opinion it is more of a fun place for a crowd to enjoy the food, wine, and euphoria.
Rich said,
Is there a seperate menu for euphoria? Can you just have it as a starter portion?

Denton, you are quite correct about the “crowd” atmosphere at The Cazbah. Something about that climate is pretty romantic to me as well though. It is a place that never feels dead, even though it is “off the beaten path” for most downtown pedestrians.
Ann, I suppose that I must be a romantically natured person at heart. I often perceive things a bit differently than other people. Perhaps the unique charm of this city has cast a spell which holds me in the grip of its powerful enchantment. If so, I am surely not the only person to have helplessly succumbed to such a delightful fate. ;-)

Good for you Justin :-) I must say that when I am in Greenville (mostly downtown) I feel so much more ALIVE and that sense of endless possibilities.
When I was there for Art in the Park weekend I took a walk after dark along the river walk. The place was filled with couples cuddled together looking at the view and just enjoying the evening together. I don’t have a good enough camera to get night time photos in that kind of light. It was a beautiful night though and I remember it in my mind :-)
Denton said,
Rich, euphoria comes with the crowd which gathers. That and maybe the wine.
Stevo, thank you. This particular restaurant offers many photo opportunities.
