Greenville has had a few rainy days this week and as a result I am sharing a photo from my walk to work. It was nice to use an umbrella and to get my feet wet. However, the experts say the rain this week will not make a dent in the 16 inch shortfall in moisture we are experiencing.

Yes we all need rain. If something is not done soon Georgia will have NO water in the next 80 days or so…NONE they say. And I also pray for rain in California to douse those fires.

Rain is lovely! I have been enjoying strolling about in the raindrops, watching the plants and trees drink it up. As others have said, we need to pray for rain to fall in other desperate areas of the nation as well.

Lynette, yes California needs the rain. It sounds like they may have received a break with the weather today. Lower temperatures and less wind as well.
Ann, the water shortage Atlanta is facing is very disturbing. How a city the size of Atlanta will function with no water is simple un-imaginable.
Annie, the article I read indicated Greenville expected to receive less than an inch of rain during this week of rainy weather. Unfortunately what we need is sixteen inches (not all at once but in fairly short order).
Deb, you have some outstanding umbrellas in your shop. Hopefully we will all need to buy one soon.
Jules, I hope to catch up on your Vietnam - same same but different blog this weekend.
Jules, overall I am pleased with the performance on our GreenvilleDailyPhoto blog. However, the comments are sometimes slow to respond. I think I may need to do some technical tuning to try and improve that. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Justin, I hope there is lots more rain in the near future for Greenville, Atlanta, the southeast, and for California.
