October 23, 2007 - RiverPlace buildings are backlit with multiple colors

In downtown Greenville, SC the River Place buildings are lit up with multiple colors at night. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 10/23/2007. This photo shows how the RiverPlace complex is backlit at night. In fact the colors rotate. One of my favorite local photographers (Rested Traveler) has the following RiverPlace photos on his flickr account: blue ~~~ orange ~~~ pink ~~~ and green

Those colors are mesmerizing when they are changing. I think they greatly add to the atmosphere of along the river. I am a huge fan of this mixed-use development.

Amazing and wonderful. I must remember to look up more when I am there, not only after dark (when I am overnight) but during the day. So many interesting sights to see if only we really LOOK.
Thanks for the inspiration.

I am so impressed with what Greenville is doing with the downtown area. I know about Greenville Forward and Vision 2025 and oh how I would like to be part of that…I would really like to work with Greenville Forward and take part in at least one of the focus groups. There is lots of information on their website http://www.greenvilleforward.com for anyone interested in this awesome work going on for all of Greenville and surrounding areas.

Thanks, Denton! :-) I have yet to get down to see it in person, but I have heard a rumor that the accent lighting on the Terrace at Riverplace is color-changing L.E.D. as well. Is it true?
