October 4, 2007 - RiverPlace at twilight in downtown Greenville

RiverPlace at twilight in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 10/4/2007. I took this photo recently just before sunset. You can tell from the sky that I am looking west and the sun is behind the RiverPlace building. You can see the High Cotton restaurant, as well as Starbucks and the Michelin on Main store is in the RiverPlace building … However, what I found interesting was the perspective which makes it appear the lamp is leaning to the right and the building is leaning to the left.

I came and was going to comment on the leaning lamp post and the distortion on the building. I wondered why you had not straightened those up in photoshop. Now I know.

The leaning lamp does make for a more interesting picture though.

I like this photo..even without photoshop. And very interestingly to me some elements of the building is similar to the University building where I work.

Abraham, yes I normally make an attempt to straighten my photos. But this one had a barrel effect which I liked.

Steve, an eye catcher. May be the businesses will get more attention is they were to have a leaning lamp.

Zsolt, have you posted a photo of the building where you work. If so let me know the link or the date. I would like to see the comparison.
