September 23, 2007 - Decorative drainage on Riverwalk in downtown Greenville

A decorative drainage on Riverwalk in downtown Greenville, SC. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 9/23/2007. I took this photo a while back and choose to share it today. I like the photo because what could have been purely functional was turned into a decorative accent in the flower bed. The water in the photo is the Reedy River. The grass, plants, and drainage are next to River Walk in downtown Greenville.

You’re so right about the function/decorative convergence in the drainage area, Denton. Along with the other shapes and colors in the photo, it certainly made for an interesting picture.

By the way, I find your list of anit-spam words comforting, and oh so easy to type because they are actually words!

Interesting…and I have never noticed that before. Will have to look for it the next time I am in town.
I did find more of the mice the last time there though :-)

At a glance, in the portal, I thought this looked like something in Vietnam! Very pretty landscaping.

Person who constructed this in the garden was inspired! And I love your rainy night photo of your town’s ‘father’..so atmospheric, shimmery.

Ann, congratulations on finding some of the mice. The decorative drainage is on River Walk next to High Cotton.

Rich, thank you.

SUSAN, thank you. Interesting your comment about Vietnam.

Jude, thank you. I was pleased with the rainy night photo.
