August 14, 2007 - Nuvox Communication sign with the Landmark building

A twilight photo of the Nuvox Communication sign with the Landmark building in the background. The photo was taken in Greenville, SC by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com This photo was taken at twilight which explains the blue sky and movement in the flags. However, what I like most about the photo is the perspective. I also, like that there are so few lights on in the building … Do you find lights left on during the night to be a challenge with your nighttime photography? … Click here to see a similar view of the Landmark building I took in January of 2006 on a foggy night.

Great photo of an amazing building - fabulous colours!!!

Glad you could see the building on my post today, but as you can imagine I don’t have to worry about phographing it at night.

I love this photo. . . .What lens did you use?

Also, you mention that it is the Landmark Bldg. . . .Is that Landmark Communications? They own the Greenville newspaper, no? My husband works for their broadcast division.

That is a great shot of where I will be starting work in September. I will be on the fifth floor. Now I can show my family, Thanks Denton.

NorthBayPhoto, thank you. The building is impressive however the perspective may add to that impression.

Jules, I love twilight colors. I’ll have to be careful and not over use them in my blog … I enjoyed your post about disrupting work when taking a photo in you’re building of the Bung photo.

Chris, thank you. The lens is my kit (18×70) lens which came with my A100k DSLR from Sony. I think what makes this photo unique is that I had to lay on my back to get this perspective … Don’t tell anyone.

Sorry but I can not confirm if the Landmark Building is named after the Landmark Communications. Maybe one of my local readers will comment on this subject.

Mike and Paula, you are welcome. Mike, congratulations on your new job.

I hope you weren’t laying on your back in the middle of the street taking this photo!

I can see I need to be more agressive in picture taking! I am still embarrassed to be caught photographing when people think I might be photoing them!
Nice shot even if you did have to get on your back. I like the one with fog as well.
