The two pieces of art in the photo are the Aria by Michael Jacobson and my Z3 roadster by BMW. For local readers if you want to see this piece of art up close the Aria can be seen at the Waco Childers Sculpture Garden in downtown Greenville. The location is at the intersection of East Stone and Elizabeth … Those who want to see the other piece of art, you will have to buy the drinks after we take it for a drive.
PS: Rested Traveler (a local reader and frequent commenter from Travelers Rest) has shared a link to Michael Jacobson’s flickr photos of the Aria. I recommend you visit Aria-Mike’s Sculpture and leave a comment complementing his effort and artistic talent.

I prefer that piece of art in the background haha…
I’ll buy the drinks! Super car. Yes, and an interesting piece of art too.
Loved your post yesterday, Denton too.
clever ;o]
Both are beautiful.
Interesting art, beautiful car…..I chose beautiful!
Like Dan I prefer the beautiful one in the background. So how many drinks do we have to buy to get a ride in the beautiful work of art :-)
cute idea…that is some car!
The BMW is art so much easier to understand — not to mention appreciate!
Great background work of art! The yellow thingy is beyond my critique ability!
I’ve had fun watching Mike Jacobsen work on this sculpture (from afar via flickr). He has put hours and hours of tireless labor and love into this thing and his wife has been very proud of him and supportive the entire way. If anyone is interested in just how much time and effort went into Aria, Go Here.
My anti-spam word was VIVID – are you organising these denton????
It certainly looks like “vivid” toothpaste artistically squeezed out of a tube.
Me back again…hey Jules, clever and creative thinking on your part about the yellow artwork looking like toothpaste squeezed from a tube…that made me smile this morning…Saturday a.m.
I’m glad you finally found it! Since moving to Travelers Rest, my roommate and I have driven by that sculpture quite often; and every time, I think, “I must message you the address so you can take a picture of this piece of Greenville!” I wonder, is this sculpture on its own or part of an art series in the Greenville area?
Keropokman, I enjoy my Z3 a lot however if placed on display it would be considered an advertisement or a parking lot. While the Aria, by Michael Jacobson, is un-mistakenly art.
Jilly, will make sure to have the drinks after the drive. I would not want to encourage driving under the influence … Thanks.
Inspired, thank you.
Ioanna, yes I agree that both are beautiful.
Dan, my choice was beautiful as well. However, I am very pleased the art available to be admired.
Ann, just a cup of hot chocolate is all that is required.
Lavender Lady (Norma) thank you.
Lessie, the BMW is eye catching however not as much as the Aria, by Michael Jacobson.
Rambling Round, yes it may be hard to critique however it is wonderful to have the art of consider and stimulate thought.
RestedTraveler, thanks for the link, I will place a link to Mike’s flickr photos in my post.
Jules, yes and no! The anti-spam words are randomly selected from a list of words I created. It sort of works like one’s horoscope. The words complement most of the photos I post … “toothpaste artistically squeezed” very well put.
Ann, I agree Jules’ comment made me smile as well.
Harvin, I am pleased you like the photo. The reason it took a while for me to find and post this photo is that I so rarely drive anymore … Note sure if this is part of a larger art series however I assume the garden where this sculpture was placed will house several additional sculptures.
Where do you want to meet for drinks. By the way this is the first time I have ever seem your site. A friend just emailed it to me since I am originally from Greenville. Very interesting!!
