I think every child should have a tree to run around … Last week, at Friday Night Jazz, these two young people ran around and around this tree. They had a great time as did all of us watching.
It’s so good to see a photo that proves all kids need are their imaginations… especially in this “video game generation”
so many people these days try too hard to entertain their kids with objects…
I have fixed in memory my mom’s words when I as playing with a tin of oil leaving there, in a corner, expensive toys. These kids are showing that nothing change under sky and imagination is the best friend with play. A very beautiful photo !!!
Lovely shot… Captures the scene well.
Planet Earth Daily Photo.
They look like they are having fun and I can just hear them laughing in delight.
This is a wonderful example of how easily a child can be entertained! No expensive toys.

I miss being a kid.
Great angle! And great in-the-moment shot.
Rich, thank you. It was actually fairly easy to shoot given the kids ran around and around.
Abraham, yes there was lots of laugher and squeals of delight.
Leonda, they were very happy children. Interestingly they did not know each other. One child joined in the game with the other.
Cari, so true.
Lessi, thank you. I’m pleased you noticed the angle.
Yes I too love the angle – but it looks like you would have to have been prone in the gutter to do it though!!!
It’s amazing what kids find fun and exciting. Usually the best things aren’t toys but a child’s imagination!

Two children running around a tree; a simple act that turns into a wonderfully expressive, joyful photo. Very much a Cartier-Bresson shot in color!
Richard, thank you for your complement. To compare one of my photos to that of Cartier-Bresson is a high complement indeed.
