July 2, 2007 - The original foundation wall for Furman University

The original foundation wall for Furman University integrated into the landscaping of Falls Park in downtown Greenville, SC This photo shows the original foundation wall for Furman University. What is impressive to me is how the foundation has been integrated into the landscaping of Falls Park in downtown Greenville.

At first I thought this was all about grass. Then when I looked more closely I do see ferns in the background and then got the idea that this stuff in the foreground is not grass but actually a flowering plant.

I am probably wrong about the grass/not grass. That’s just where my mind stopped working.

I like the light on the grass — and you make an excellent point about the landscaping. Very thoughtful integration.
