With permission from our neighbor we are sharing a photo of her red bistro table and chairs on her balcony … The photo also shows an element of condo life. Given how close we are together it is important to honor each others privacy. That is why I asked permission for the photo … Today is theme day in the City Daily Photo Blog community and the subject is “red”. This should open the theme up to some very interesting interpretations. Very nice place, little but private.

Bricks of red hues, red flowers, and red patio table and chairs. Great setting!
Lachezar said,
I like the subtle way you treated this month’s theme.
A most beautiful image. One of the best I have seen so far!
Congratulations

My spam word was “in red” and was “downtown”. Very appropriate. You are such a considerate person.
Carol said,
My anti-spam word was “glowing.” That’s what our red photos are doing this month. i love yours that is more subtle and quiet.
Jilly said,
What a lovely warm balcony - so vibrant yet cosy - like your words very much, Denton. And the photo, of course.

Excellent photo!

Nice shot. I like the table and chairs versus the black surround.

very cosy and a cheery red scene! are these flowers only for the photo or an everyday feature?

i think its hard to live so close to someone. But I remember other shots of your building and its a very nice place!
ann said,
great photo Denton, and a very homey feeling.

I would love to have that in my house when I grow up one day.

Love this shot — we’ll be moving to a 1225 sq ft condo from a 3000-sq foot home, probably April next year. Our balcony will be a bit larger than this, so it’s a shot that resonates with me.

Small balcony but so beautiful with the lovely red color of table and chairs.

i love to see a balcony decorated with furniture and plants. good to see your neighbours make full use of the limited space they have. great!
Gails_man said,
Wonder what can you see whilst sitting on the balcony?
Denton said,
Fernado, yes the patios are very small. Our patio is the same size. However, this photo was taken from a neighbors patio which is very grand. I was watering our neighbors plants while she was out of town.
Kate, I was pleased with the scene however I would have like to have taken the photo straight on. To have done this I would have been in open air four floors above the ground.
Lachezar, thank you. You are too kind.
Lavenderlady, funny. I control a list of the anti-spam words and chose words which apply in general. The concept is the same as you see in your horoscope.
Carol, yes reviewing the portal today was enjoyable with all the red.
Jilly, thank you.
Kuanyin, thank you.
Abraham, the photo was not as good as I would have liked however it conveyed a little about the condo lifestyle.
Jazzy, the followers are on the table regularly. We regularly walk through the courtyard the patio overlooks. As a result I get to enjoy the splash of red almost every day.
Ben, thank you.
Alice, thank you.
Zsolt, we thought it would be hard to have neighbors so close however we installed plantation shutters and can find our privacy simply by closing the shutters.
Ann, yes even a condo can be made to feel homey.
Dijah, I’m sure you will. Set your goals high, work hard, and enjoy what comes.
Forrest, best wishes on your downsizing move. We moved from 3000-sq feet to 1000-sq feet. The move has been the best of our life. Our living space has expanded to include the community around us.
Olivier, yes the bricks add a nice touch as well. Although when I took the photo I was focused only on the bistro table.
Tanty, yes our neighbor has done well with a small space. It is interesting to see what can be accomplished in a small area.
Edwin, we tried to pack a little too much on our patio. Just two chairs and a table however they are larger than the ones shown here.
Gails_man, I will make a point of showing the view in the near future.

Looks like a great relaxing place for morning coffee! Nice choice for red!

Nice photo! I like so much brick walls.

Nice cozy balcony. Nice choose for this monthly theme. BTW, thanks Denton for your comments on my new born Toulouse DPB.

How appropriate! A very pretty balcony. If it were here, there would be more plants — in planters hanging off the railing.
Living in “small” spaces is great. I used to live in a 1400 sq ft townhouse in Maryland, and now we’re in about 1000 sq ft. For starters, it makes one evaluate what one needs vs what one want.s
