Yesterday morning we strolled down main street and shopped at the Saturday Market. In addition to fresh produce there is also shrimp sold by Geechie Seafood. The shrimp was brought in fresh from Charleston … I have included a few extra photos. Click on the thumbnails for a larger image … Note the last thumbnail on the right. These are great and I hope you show us some more of Saturday Market.
I am very excited about my upcoming trip to Greenville to experience Saturday Market.
I don’t like shrimp and looking at them just makes me think of some kind of bug.

wow the saturday market has certainly grown since the last time i went down there! i went a couple times last year or maybe it was the year before and it turned out to be a dud so i quit going. it looks much more promising now! from the pics it looks like it also switched locations…before it used to be in front of devereaux’s.

Barb, personally I don’t like fish in general. However, I like the taste of shrimp because it is less fishy tasting.

Eric, I was surprised as well that they were selling fish. The owner indicated they plan an even more elaborate presentation in the near future.
