As part of my walk to work series I’m sharing photos of the morning sun reflecting in bushes, flowers, and the fountain behind the Peace Center in downtown Greenville … A few extra photos are shared below showing different views of the same scene. Click on them for a larger view.

June 13, 2007 - Early morning sun
susan said,
I love the effect of the early morning sun in this series. How long does it take for you to walk to work? Surely the time is increased on days when you carry your camera along!

The series, Walk to Work, should provide some great pictures but depends on which way you go, I guess. I like your photos this morning. Especially the one on the right, bottom row.

Just a Lily today, plus a shaft of sunshine on my oak tree. A blessing for a bountiful crop — I hope.

I love the last of the small pics…it is so quiet, peaceful…makes me want to walk into it.
thank you for enhancing my morning joy.

If, when walking to work, I could cross over those stones, I’m sure I’d have a perfect day.

My favorite is the 3rd from the left or 2nd from the right. Beautiful series!

I have just finished looking at your entire blog from December 2005 to the present and am blown away by your gorgeous photos. I am a photographer myself and will be moving to Greenville within this coming year. I was just there twice within the past two months and have many, many photos already. I look forward to the literally thousands of photos opps in and around the Greenville area and am sure I will find it as much fun as you apparently do. Thanks for the time and effort you’ve invested in this project. It’s fabulous!

Susan, my walk to work is only 10 minutes however it often turns into an extra 30 minutes taking photos. I always carry my camera.
Abraham, thank you. I have taken several photos in this series and have a category for it on the sidebar.
Ann, you are welcome and I am glad your morning is full of joy.
Annie, even though the walk is short I have several different routes. All of which have a nice little touch like this fountain.
Lessie, thank you. My wife liked that one as well.
Marsha, I am flattered you like my photos. I’m sure you will be very happy with your move to Greenville. You might be interested in the Photo of the Day thread at Urban Planet.

Thanks, Denton, for suggesting the Photo of the Day thread at Urban Planet. All I can say is “Wow!” This looks like a fun and talented group. I might have to join just for the challenge of trying to better myself. All of these photos (yours and theirs) are greatly inspiring to me and make me wish I was moving sooner rather than later. Keep up the great work!
