Compared to my previous post, about kids playing the fountain, this photo shows that kids can be of all ages … I found this photo endearing. To me it says we are all kids at heart.

I just came from http://visualstpaul.blogspot.com/ where she has posted a bronze statue in much the same pose as this woman!
What a nice summery photo.

Lordy-lordy-lordy. You would think the woman could give up the cell phone long enough to take a shower.
Baby raccoons. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

He looks like he is having more fun! Great photo!

I much prefer the adults playing to the children. I live in the Riverplace condo’s and last week on a wonderfully pleasant day I left my porch door open as I worked in my home office. After 15 minutes I was forced to close it because the screams from the children playing in the fountain had given me a migraine.

AbrahamLincoln….I was thinking exactly the same about the woman with the cell phone…my only diversion to that thought was…she needs to give up the cell phone and totally emerse herself in the pleasure of the day, the moment.

Saturday I was so hot (outside working) I would have gladly stuck my whole head in the water spouts. :) Fun photo!

Denton, It’s been awhile since I’ve visited, but I have surfed back to admire your previously posted photos and like them ALL! I had to laugh about this one with the woman and cell phone. My post to which Susan referred is about the pioneer spirit and your female subject is far from that source. But, she sure looked like she wasd having fun, too!

Ah, can’t resist water! Great photo. the lady with the cell phone reminds me of the Doonsbury cartoon in our newspaper yesterday.
re your question about my long term camera goals…I too would love a high end Canon…but I will settle for the Canon S5 IS because of the image stablizer and the ability to add lens. I love the 12 x zoom. My dead camera was a Canon S2 IS. It took a lot of pictures.
The S5 is in my price range and I know how they work.

This is a perfect activity for a hot sunny day in town.

Susan, I agree, the look is very similar.
Olivier, your are right. There is more common in the world than there is difference in the world.
Abraham, yes the cell phone is a nice touch.
Leonda, the lady was the wettest. So even though she had to answer her phone she obviously had a lot of fun before.
Paula, yes, children can be very loud.
Ann, she may have been sharing goods news with her mother.
Lessie, I was in Washington DC last weekend and it was hot there as well.
Kate, thank you. Your photos of “the source” are very nice.
Lavender Lady (Norma), after your comment I had to go find the Doonsbury cartoon … An S5 would be nice.
Annie, cooling off on a hot day feels great.
