June 9, 2007 - The Reedy River at twilight

The Reedy River at twilight above the low water dam in downtown Greenville, SC I took this photo trying to capture the geese. Although it was too dark to clearly see the geese I was especially pleased with the twilight sky and the reflections of light.

Good morning Denton…what a beautiful picture. I love the “light”, the reflections in the river…and the whole view is really lovesly.

I can see the geese and think they are there if you really wanted to make them stand out better. But I am like ann and like the shot as it is. Very nice.

For a second I thought I was on the Minneapolis blog (you know how Chris is known for his night shots and reflections - I call him the Prince of Darkness ;-)).
This is truly a wonderful shot!

I love all your pictures, but I do believe that this one is my favorite so far. It’s truly lovely and serene and makes me proud to be from Greenville. :)

Ann, thank you. Light almost makes a photo.

Abraham, yes I tried using PhotoShop to adjust the light such that the geese stand out. However, I agree that the shot as is was the one to post.

Isabella, thank you. I’m flattered to be compared with Chris’ photography.

Carla, I am so pleased you like our photos. Greenville offers many great photo opportunities.

Helen, thank you.
