I felt this photo would add some nice color to our photoblog. The restaurant is called Smoke on the Water. The statue is of Shoeless Joe Jackson.

This last weekend, we stopped by Soby’s restaurant before the crowds and captured a photo of their blue ceiling. I find the lighting and the colorful ceiling very appealing … In addition to their outstanding food and drinks many find the doors opening on to Main Street a good reason to gather at Soby’s.
Yesterday morning we strolled down main street and shopped at the Saturday Market. In addition to fresh produce there is also shrimp sold by Geechie Seafood. The shrimp was brought in fresh from Charleston … I have included a few extra photos. Click on the thumbnails for a larger image … Note the last thumbnail on the right. It shows Saturday Market setup under the wonderful trees on Main Street.

For those who have been to Falls Park in the last few days you know this photo if from my archives. They have started some repair work on the grass which takes a beating from those of us who enjoy the park. They have spread a mixture of sand and fertilizer over large portions of the grass … Some of you my recognize the canopy in the background as shown from a different angle in this previous post.
Yesterday, at lunch, I took this photo because I found the scene unique. I also like that the John Deere logo on the umbrella was lined up for the photo. If you look closely you will see that he is wearing a John Deere logo on his tee-shirt as well … Having grown up in the country, for me John Deere will always be associated with farming equipment. However in the city I suspect this umbrella and tee-shirt came along with the purchase of John Deere lawn mower.
