May 31, 2007 - Barefoot in the park

A couple posing barefoot in the Reedy River at Falls Park in downtown Greenville, SC This photo shows the same small falls shown in yesterday’s photo. In additional this couple is posing barefoot on a rook in the middle of the river. While yesterday’s photo made it appear I was in the water, for this photo I did actually have to venture out on several rooks to the middle of the river. Although not in the water I was very close to slipping then falling into the water … It was fun.

This is a really pleasant photograph and most people would be moved by it. I just found it rather fascinating that you didn’t mention the sound falling water makes. This must have been an incessant roar.

What a romantic spot. It’s a good thing you didn’t fall in with your camera.

Is this the same river that you have photographed running through the city a few weeks back?

It’s always a joy to be by water in the summertime. And to have a good friend with you heightens the pleasure.
