May 30, 2007 - A close-up view of the Reedy River

A close-up view of the Reedy River at Falls Park in Greenville, SC Today’s photo shows a close-up view of the Reedy River. Actually I was a little worried about getting water on my lens. However, there was no damage and the photo turned out … My favorite photos of the Reedy River were posted on March 3rd showing white water kayaking. Be sure and click on the thumbnails for the kayaking.

Yes, it does appear I was in the water when the photo was taken. Actually I was on rock in the middle of the river and held my camera a few inches above the rushing water. The photo was taken from the bottom of a small falls.

Nice shot. I am not able, so far as I know, to lock-in any focus setting on my camera. I never trust the automatic settings and I know, from sad experience, that if I focus on manual or manually focus and move the camera that sometimes my depth of field is off so I end up with a blurred shot. I am surprised at the clarity of this one.

This is a fun shot! The water seems to be ready to carry me away!
