May 25, 2007 - A bridal photo taken at the Wyche Pavilion

A bridal photo taken at the Wyche Pavilion in downtown Greenville, SC Tomorrow (Saturday May 26th) there is a event which should offer some great photo opportunities. It is called Trash Your Wedding Dress Photo and Video Session. The website says “The most important part of the event is having the opportunity to provide women with information about early detection of breast and cervical cancer from the American Cancer Society”.

I understand brides meet at the Hyatt then proceed to Falls Park where photos will be taken on the rocks and in the bushes. The website explains “This of course, takes place after the wedding, and all the fears of getting your dress dirty or even wet, never enter your mind” …. Today’s photo shows how a photo session can place significant demand on a wedding dress.

Note that there has been a link added to the Trash Your Wedding Dress Photo and Video Session website such that you can view photos taken at the event.

PS: Please note that I made a mistake in my original post and that has been corrected. Please accept my aplogy for this mistake.

I wondered about this picture and thought it was a kind of living window display and I guess it was.

Today, the final pictures of the series, “A Day in the Life of a Robin,” is online. I couldn’t decide which picture to use. I hope you get to see them.

that’s a lot of work. I’d prefer natural (unaware) snaps :)
ps. no matter how careful , white will always attract dirt!!

denton and connie, congratulations on the 200,000 mark :) Wonderful to see greenville though your eyes.
denton, another internet related question: you have been so kind to upload the CDPB Menu on my blog. i have now updated my format (to get bigger photos in) so could you perhaps find the time to upload it again? seems with the transfer i have lost the CDPB functions. thank you so much!

Wow! But wouldn’t it be wonderful to have such a beautiful backdrop in your pictures?

Perhaps I’m just dense, but I “don’t get it!” I realize this is a fund-raiser for breast cancer but do the participants pay? do they donate their dresses for resale? what’s the “trash” bit? PS. I answered the St. Luke’s question on my blog; thanks for asking and visiting.

That bride is as pretty on this day as she likely was on her wedding day. Now if I were participating in this event, on-lookers would wonder what in the world!!!

Finally Internet (Because I can have Internet only the weekend and the public holidays), I can visit your blog. This weekend I present Martel in version black and white. I prefer the photographs in b&w and you?

Olivier, thank you. I hope you have a good weekend as well.

Abraham, your series called “A Day in the Life of a Robin” has been outstanding.

Kris, being a guy I really don’t understand the wedding dress thing. However as an analogy I can understand that a white paint job on a car will show the dirt more than a most other colors.

Andreea, thank you. Note that your CDPB menu is all fixed up. I like your new larger photo format … Note to other readers. As an explanation: I help Andreea and a few other bloggers out with the technical challenges.

Lessie, yes a great backdrop.

Kate, obviously I’m a little dense as well. I was mistaken about the sponsor. Although the American Cancer Society presented information at the event they were not an official sponsor. See their website for details on the sponsorship.

Annie, check out the photos at there website. They were great.
