This was a real challenge to photograph and although I like the result the complete piece of art is much more impressive. For local readers I recommend you stop by River Place and take a look. Sorry but I did not note the name of the artist. However, that gives me another excuse to visit the art again. I’ll update this post in the near future with the name of the artist.
An Update:
- First I was wrong when I said this was art created from fiber optics. It is in fact constructed from colored nylon monofilament and steel hooks.
- The artist is John Warren
- The name of the art work is Focus
- addition photo #1
- addition photo #2

These are light beams then? That makes sense. Nice job.
Hmmm…at first I thought it was string art! How interesting.
it’s amazing what a person can do with its hands.
Nice piece of art!
That is interesting – and pleasing to see.
the art is nice…but what I want to know is “how do you do that?” the additional pictures are pretty darn cool!
Abe, I was wrong. These are not fiber optics. That will be the last time I trust a retired AT&T executive.
Lessie, you are right. I stand corrected.
Dsole, and interesting to me that it appeals as much as it does.
Annie, yes.
Lavender Lady (Norma), very integrate.

John, thanks for the link. I love your work. Especially the play with light.
