This photo shows the same small falls shown in yesterday’s photo. In additional this couple is posing barefoot on a rook in the middle of the river. While yesterday’s photo made it appear I was in the water, for this photo I did actually have to venture out on several rooks to the middle of the river. Although not in the water I was very close to slipping then falling into the water … It was fun.

Today’s photo shows a close-up view of the Reedy River. Actually I was a little worried about getting water on my lens. However, there was no damage and the photo turned out … My favorite photos of the Reedy River were posted on March 3rd showing white water kayaking. Be sure and click on the thumbnails for the kayaking.
This is a follow-up to yesterday’s photo showing a magnolia blossom. However, I cheated. Today’s photo was taken in Charleston where we spent last weekend enjoying the Spoleto Arts Festival. In my defense, today’s photo could have been taken on almost any street in Greenville. The magnolia’s are everywhere. I have provided extra photos showing another Magnolia bloom and the sign at Magnolias restaurant.
We were told that there are two places from Charleston which are listed in the book called “1000 places to see before you die”. Magnolias and Number 2 Meeting Street Inn. This last weekend we were lucky enough to get a table at Magnolias as walk-ins. The food and service were great.
This photo, taken last weekend, depicts one of our favorite activities. Walking hand in hand during an evening stroll in downtown Greenville. Recently a reader sent an email asking what the nightlife was like in Greenville. I explained that night clubs were an option however what we enjoyed most was to walk hand in hand strolling down Main Street.
Tomorrow (Saturday May 26th) there is a event which should offer some great photo opportunities. It is called Trash Your Wedding Dress Photo and Video Session. The website says “The most important part of the event is having the opportunity to provide women with information about early detection of breast and cervical cancer from the American Cancer Society”.
I understand brides meet at the Hyatt then proceed to Falls Park where photos will be taken on the rocks and in the bushes. The website explains “This of course, takes place after the wedding, and all the fears of getting your dress dirty or even wet, never enter your mind” …. Today’s photo shows how a photo session can place significant demand on a wedding dress.
Note that there has been a link added to the Trash Your Wedding Dress Photo and Video Session website such that you can view photos taken at the event.
