Given our blog is about living downtown I am sharing a photo of what we have found to be a condo essential. Given our condo has only one sink we find a small bowl to collect trash while cooking is essential. In French I understand it would be called “poubelle de table”. I mention this because my wife attributes the idea to a cooking show host called Rachel Ray. However, I think the idea was one we learned 20+ years ago when we lived in Belgium.
Ann asked about the countertop. So I have included a photo of the kitchen. The countertop is granite which is very nice however as the photo shows and the post shares there is one sink. In all of our past homes we have had two sinks. This was one of the challenges resulting from downsizing.
