I took this photo a week ago during a lunchtime stroll. However, the credit really belongs to a guy named Ron … When Ron posts his photos at Flickr and on the Urban Planet Greenville Photo of the Day thread he calls himself ManInThePark. The reason is that Ron actually has taken 4,000+ photos of Falls Park on the Reedy … When we visited, Ron said he had been stalking this bird for two mornings. All I did was notice where Ron was looking and then shot this photo … Thank you Ron.

Beautiful photo of the Cardinal.
When I started walking Bear yesterday (one of our walks) just as we were walking under the tree in front of the house, a cardinal (the red ones are the males) swooped down like he was going to come at us but landed in the tree above us :-)

Kenneth, thank you. We are pleased to share the experience of living downtown. An I have to agree the bird is a RED bird to me … My camara is a Sony A100. It is a digital SLR with a very fast shutter speed, an anti shake system, which takes 10 mega pixel photos.
