April 7, 2007 - Hamburgers at Friday Night Jazz on Main Street

Hamburgers at Friday Night Jazz on Main Street in Greenville, SC The season opener for Friday Night Jazz started last night and even though it was cold and windy there was no way we would miss it. I was excited about Bag Chair Season starting, about the crowd, the music, and I was excited about the hamburgers from the Blue Ridge Brewing Company. The evening lived up to my expectations.

I wish we had some of your apparent warm weather — we got snow. I like this picture. It captures the mood of the season there.

Abe, yes we have had much warmer weather. However it has cooled off some yesterday and today. In watching the news as well as visiting with relatives I have heard lots about your Spring snow storm.

Kris, we enjoy the event even though the music is not always pure jazz. In South Carolina there has to be a little beach music in any event.

Leonda, if you and Claude come to visit we will get a couple of extra bag chairs.

Annie, this time of year is great. It will not be long until there is an outdoor event 4 or 5 nights a week. They last Spring, Summer, and Fall then shut down for the Winter. They slow down a little in the hot months of Summer as well.
