April 5, 2007 - Feeding the birds

Feeding the birds on the Reedy river in Greenville, SC At lunch yesterday, I went for a walk next to the Reedy River and happened on this young lady with her two children feeding the birds. In addition to the above photo I captured a couple of close-up photos of the birds … I hope you enjoy your lunch breaks as much as I enjoy mine.

I would REALLY enjoy my lunch breaks if I lived in Greenville and could spend them along the Reedy River and its waterfalls :-)
Off now to work on my writing…

Lovely photo. I love the that one of the birds has its wings spread and the boy is captured tossing the bread.

Nice way to spend you lunch break! Did you share with the birds?

Loved the close-ups…I guess you need a good camera for that.

Nadine, yes our weather is very nice during the Spring. It gets a too hot during August and July but the rest of the year is outstanding.

Chuckeroon, thank you for sending a postcard to my Aunt Ethel. She very much appreciated the postcards and enjoyed her 100th birthday.

Ann, yes Greenville is very enjoyable.

Lessie, yes I was pleased with the photo.

Isabella, actually I ate in the office in front of my computer while I browsed the City Daily Photo blogs. Then I went for a walk looking for a photo opportunity … My camera is nice. It is a Sony A100 with very fast shutter speed and takes 10 mega pixel photos. The result is I can capture these birds in flight. However I had to crop to get to the birds. So now I need a longer lens.
