March 27, 2007 - The Liberty Building

The Liberty Building in Greenville, SC This photo has a unique perspective and it does a good job of showing how forested Greenville is. Note that all the trees you see are actually covering housing additions. When we first moved to Greenville we came from Texas and were confused as to where all the houses were … Here is a street level view of the Liberty Building.

Hi Denton! This is a great aerial shot! Were you in a building when you took this?

Yep SC sure does have a lot of trees. I was born and raised in south California and I just love all the trees here.

Nice series! The perspective is great…
I was once flying once Raleigh NC and could not understand where are we going to land - there was nothing but trees for as fas as you could see ;-)

When I think of Texas I usually think of wide open spaces with only little scrub trees. You must have lived in a spot meeting that description.

Anne, thank you. I was on top of building. A very unique opportunity.

Olivier, yes the horizon appears infinite. The perspective looking down on other buildings was unique for me as well.

Pastorrick, we enjoy the trees however at present the pollen is a pain. Literally.

Isabella, were I grew up in Texas the story goes that soldiers were told if they chose the Texas military base they would find a girl behind every tree. Once they arrived they found no trees.

Annie, yes you describe a perfect image of where I grew up.
