  Denton, great shot of the colorful bike! They can be loud. When we lived in the Bay Area it was the teens with gas motor scooters whose noise got to me. . .

  I agree! That is one thing that I’m surprised is not regulated better in Switzerland — there are laws against practically everything else! I’m not sure why there aren’t noise ordinances requiring the use of better mufflers There are few things more annoying than a neighbor revving his motorcycle at 6 in the morning (as I write this, I realize what a cushy life I have.)

  Susan, Harley’s are the loudest but these cycles sound like they scream. And the travel in packs.

  Slinger, the noise level is down at present because of the cooler weather. But I’m sure they will come back.

  Kim, noisy kids even those on scooters I can accept more easily than adults who should know they are being an annoyance.

  Ham, since starting our daily photo blog I no longer see annoying things. I see that which is interesting or appealing. After reading the annoyances around the world if I did this theme over again I would change my choice to something like what Tenerife (Spain) selected. Instead of power lines I would have selected street lights.

  Olivier, scoters are just now becoming popular here in the US. The price of gasoline has brought them back.

  Z, I remember Switzerland as this idealistic place where no special laws would be needed to regulate behavior given all is perfect to begin with. Of course my memories of Switzerland all center around ski holidays which is time when I am most happy.

  Jing, a problem around the world. It seems an improved muffler is needed.

  Lessie, load music from cars would be my complaint. Maybe I am showing my age and it just that I am hard of hearing now and don’t like the extra noise to prevent me from hearing what the person next to me is saying.

  Sophieandersen, I agree. The Harley is louder but it is not as annoying.

  Keropokman, I expected more to disagree with me. I know when I was younger I loved the sound of a powerful engine.

  Angela, the colors are what I think make this motorcycle look good.

  Ben, boy racers? I had to look up the term. Sure enough boy racers has it’s own page on Wikipedia. What did I do before Wikipedia?

  Dsole, bad drivers are your peeve then. I worry more about hitting a bicyclist than a motorcyclist.

  Annie, I find myself asking my wife to repeat herself way to often. So tomorrow I may set an appointment to have my hearing checked.

  I SO agree about motorcycle noise. The folks who live caddy corner to us are bikers and usually get rolling about midnight everynight! And then come rolling back in about 4 -5 AM. Upsets my dogs something awful!
