January 30, 2007 - Business growth

Signs announcing two businesses which are coming in 2007 to downtown Greenville, SC Yesterday’s post encouraging support to retain a local business and yesterday’s news story of Greenville losing one of it’s corporate headquarters lead me to want to post a positive photo about commerce in Greenville. Greenville has had a set back however there have been many successes and will be many more to come … Today’s photo shows the signs from two businesses which plan to open in 2007. It would be possible to create a collage of many similar signs and a second collage of many recently opened businesses. I’m bullish on Greenville and want to convey that optimism.

wonderful post. i wonder: it is ‘rule’ that new signs announcing businesses in Greenville have to be similar? or is it up to the owners to design their promotional flyers?

Andreea, in most cases the signs are different. However, this case the signs are in adjoining windows in a new development so the marketing was most likely coordinated … From a photographic point of view I found the photo interesting because it looks like a collage of two different photos when if you study the reflection you see it was actually one photo of two adjoining windows.

Now you’ll have to make sure folks shop at these new stores.
