A local reader (Brian) sent an email suggesting photos of the O-CHA Tea Bar. Brian pointed out that the business is up for sale and he suggested that if GreenvilleDailyPhoto readers were asked that they might make a difference. Also, on the O-CHA Tea Bar blog the owners say “please support us as much as possible in the next few weeks to help us keep our doors open” … With this post I would like to encourage all local readers to stop by soon and have some bubble tea. Let’s support local independent business.

Thanks, Denton! I’ve been trying to carry the flag for Mallie and Mike over on UrbanPlanet.org, as well. There are shops and restaurants closing all around them on North Main and I’d prefer that they don’t suffer the same fate. I love this place!
I highly recommend the grape slushie with pearls. My daughter tried it this past weekend and it was pretty darned good (I had a taste).

I think that is a great idea to promote a local business. I hope Greenville residents read your blog.

RestedTraveler, you are welcome. I certainly support local business and especially independent business owners. They add a unique element to Greenville which sets us apart from other cities. Did you notice where I added a series of small ads for O-CHA which will appear on GreenvilleDailyPhoto for the next few weeks. I hope they help. PS: Great job at the Urban Planet Greenville forum. I encourage GreenvilleDailyPhoto readers to visit and contribute to the forum.
Olivier, yes it is a good idea. Greenville is small enough that individuals can make a difference. Hopefully my local readers will step up to the plate and help keep the doors open for O-CHA.
John, thank you. I was not pleased with any one of the photos I took. I did not think they did the building justice. However, I was pleased with the collage.
Annie, it is interesting to share local issues with people from around the world. I am sure many Daily Photo bloggers have seen similar challenges in their cities and towns. Thank you for your encouragement.
Susan, in response to your hope that Greenville residents read our blog. Our stats show that we are lucky enough to have 20,000+ visits monthly of which the majority are from the Greenville area. So my optimistic outlook leads me to think this sort of photo and encouragement will increase business for O-CHA a little. Every little bit helps and I feel better for having tried.

We have had two really good weekends in a row and I’m sure it has a lot to do with the support you are showing for us by getting the word out.
