On Monday at noon I took a walk through Falls Park and then into the adjacent Cancer Survivors Park. I especially liked the sunlight on the this curved rock staircase. The Cancer Survivors Park is under development and local readers may be interested in visiting their webpage for more detail. Also, I encourage local readers to Get Involved in this effort.

Yesterday’s post encouraging support to retain a local business and yesterday’s news story of Greenville losing one of it’s corporate headquarters lead me to want to post a positive photo about commerce in Greenville. Greenville has had a set back however there have been many successes and will be many more to come … Today’s photo shows the signs from two businesses which plan to open in 2007. It would be possible to create a collage of many similar signs and a second collage of many recently opened businesses. I’m bullish on Greenville and want to convey that optimism.
A local reader (Brian) sent an email suggesting photos of the O-CHA Tea Bar. Brian pointed out that the business is up for sale and he suggested that if GreenvilleDailyPhoto readers were asked that they might make a difference. Also, on the O-CHA Tea Bar blog the owners say “please support us as much as possible in the next few weeks to help us keep our doors open” … With this post I would like to encourage all local readers to stop by soon and have some bubble tea. Let’s support local independent business.
There is nothing like a sister to help maintain your perspective My sister Leonda told me her favorite photo was a photo I posted previously showing construction cones. So now I am keeping an eye out and will start a construction cone series dedicated to my sister Leonda … PS: Norma, who authors the Sequim Daily Photo, is also my sister but she prefers my photos which show ducks.
Greenville had wonderful blue skies yesterday. So today I am sharing those skies with you. I like how the blue outlines the red in this photo. Note that the business, Postcard from Paris, gets a plug as well. To see a local Parisian’s view of Paris visit my friend Eric at Paris Daily Photo.
