This cabbage plant does not appear to be very Christmassy however it was what caught our eye when walking on Main Street yesterday. Plus with a Google search I find that Cabbage is a normal part of the Christmas meal in Denmark. I even found even a Red Cabbage Christmas Salad Recipe on the Internet. So I felt I can get by with passing this photo off as a Christmas photo. What do you think?

Beautiful cabbage! It is very striking.

Well, I don’t know how Christmasy it is…but it is very, very eye catching. Love the beads of water.
Kate said,
Of course it’s appropriate! Are you going to have it for your meal now that you have a recipe?? Happy holidays to you and yours!!

Christmas or not, it’s very nice! A few years ago, a friend of mine decorated her Christmas table with cabbages which had been gilt with an aerosol and where she had set up many little things to eat on little wooden sticks. She has been very successful! Sorry, my English is not good enough and my sentence is as heavy than a Christmas pudding…Joyeux Noël!

Edwin, thank you for your complement and Christmas wish.
Norma, thank you. As you can see I am running out of Christmas ideas and had to get creative.
Kate, no I think we will stick with pork roast.
alice-d56, thank you for commenting and the lovely story about a Christmas past. Your English is wonderful.

You’re very kind, Denton. Perhaps is it your “Father Christmas side”?

Denton, the cabbage is beautiful. Natural beauty is the best, always. I didn’t know about these as winter decorations until just a few years ago.
Merry Christmas to you in Greenville!
