Thursday night I was out looking for Christmas lights to photograph. What I found interesting was the red tint in the low hanging clouds which I assume was caused by a reflection from the lights.
Eric, thank you. I was pleased with the photo. Please note that I took your advice and have tried twice to shot the star on top of Roper Mountain. No luck so far. I have been using my uni-pod and will have to take my tri-pod on my next attempt.
Olivier, night time photos present a view we sometimes don’t realize exists.
Kate, very. I took some many photos that night which would have been great had I brought my tripod. But this photo is the only one I will be able to share from that night’s photo hunt.
Ruth, I’m flattered by your complement.
Annie, thank you. It was a special photo opportunity.
Lessie, thanks and welcome to the Daily Photo family.
Norma, no tamales this year! There will only be four of us celebrating Christmas and we need a few more hands to make tamales. Maybe next year.
John, thanks
Alexander (TDP), it has been a long time. I see you have posted three photos recently. Does this mean you are going to post daily again? I surely hope so.
What a great pic! I was stuck on southbound I-85 between Charlotte and Greenville that night, so I only saw brake lights through the fog. Glad you captured the great shot of downtown in that setting.
Another great shot Denton!
tres beau panorama et tres belle photo de nuit. bravo
very beautiful panorama and very beautiful photograph of night. cheer
You’re right; it’s an unusual sky!
This is stunning, Denton, looks like a postcard!
The anti-spam word today is special – and that says it all about this photo, these lights, the sky. Special!
Wow! That is so unusual! I love the effect. Great job.
Wow! Great capture! Merry Christmas, almost. Are you making tamales this year?
Great sky, great image.
Great night shot! Love the colors. Merry christmas!
So amazing and so unique view of your city! Beautiful!
