This photo is of a Christmas tree sponsored by the Downtown Business Association of Greenville. This tree, along with many others, is part of the Festival of Trees presented through out downtown Greenville. In this case the tree is in Piazza Bergamo with the Bank of America building in the background. If you look closely you will see snow falling even with a clear sky. The snow is the result of a snow machine. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to one and all.
Gerald from Hyde Daily Photo has compiled the following list of DP sites around the world which have been posting pictures of Christmas trees, they include Atlanta ** Greenville ** Hyde ** Las Vegas ** London ** Paris ** Rouen ** St Paul ** Santiago de Chile ** Sequim ** Stayton ** Tenerife ** Vantaa ** Wellington

I wanted to let you know I really enjoy looking at your photos each day. My boyfriend and I recently bought property in Travelers Rest and we have visited Greenville many times this year.. we absolutely love it! We are going on another trip and will be passing Greenville on the 15th and the 31st but we are debating on which day we should stop there. We want to see the christmas trees and decorations but we also would like to be there on New Years Eve. So my question to you is when do they take down the trees? Also do you know if there is anything going on downtown on New Years Eve? Anything you could tell me would be great! Thanks a bunch :)
Olivier, thank you.
Eric, I’m not sure how often they have the snow machine on. I assume it is on during the weekends in the evenings if the temperature is cold enough.
Jing, I agree that the list of Christmas related photos will grow the closer we get to the 25th.
Nikki, thank you and I will do a little research to see if there are some answers to your questions. Please check back.
