December 4, 2006 - Night view of the BB&T bank building

A night view of the BB&T bank building in Greenville, SC This a night view of the BB&T bank building. The light above is a full moon with passing clouds. I like the shadow which the tree cast. I also found the sky and the colors appealing. Check out a daylight photo of the building posted two days ago.

Denton, this is a wonderful photo. The bank should have one of these hanging in their lobby. I love the sky and the shadow of the tree…awesome!

Wow, that’s a mean looking photo!
(In New Zealand jargon, mean=great, amazing)

Cheers!

That is a truly amazing photograph Denton. On that day the sun was hitting those clouds at dusk in such a way that it looked completely unnatural. I wondered if you’d captured it. This nighttime shot is far more interesting than what I saw at dusk. Thanks for sharing it.

Olivier, when I saw the sky I knew it would be a good photo. I have to agree, the end result was impressive.

Norma, thank you. I used my new unipod to steady the camera when these were taken. It is much easier to use and carry than my tri-pod.

Susan, thank you.

Krisz, your right. I had walk for a hour and not noticed the sky looking like this until studied the BB&T building. It is a little off from Main Street and as such there is less light which allowed the sky to appear as it did in this photo. The time was around 8:45pm

Jing, thank you. It was the tree shadows which first drew me to this photo but then the sky was what convinced me there was a great photo opportunity.

Kate, yes I felt I should to show the BB&T again to try and impress how unique the building is.

John, I agree.

MarieMcC, thank you.

Lessie, lucky more than a good eye.

Victoria, it was the combination of angle, light, shadows, and that wonderful sky.

Midnitebara, honest no Photoshop on this. I did not even cropp it. The only Photoshop was the addition of my copyright.

Lachezar, sort of like when Jessy Jackson says famously said someone was bad to the horror of his host when what he was conveying was exactly the opposite.

Eric, I was in a down mood all day. After my walk and taking this photo I was in a great mood. I should have tried to take a sunrise photo!

PS: Midnitebara, tomorrow photo has been photoshopped.
