Giving Thanks

Setting sun in Greenville, SC On Thanksgiving day, in the US, it is common to share what one is thankful for. Last night I was very thankful that my camera was available when the sun set and that I knew I would share the photo with all of you. Seriously; My blessings are many. They include my wife, daughters, son-in-law, extended family, education, work, health, and opportunity. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

A sign for Larkin's on the River in Greenville, SC Walking home from work yesterday I noticed the sign shown in this photo was missing. My mind did not dwell on why the sign might be missing. Instead, my first thought was that I have a photo of the sign in my archives. Hope you enjoy the photo. If you live in Greenville stop in to enjoy a meal and ask where the sign went.

Evening sunlight reflections at Saint Mary's Church in Greenville, SC with storm clouds in the background.  My photos lately have shown blue skies. So Sunday night, when the storm clouds built, I went looking for a photo opportunity. I found this interesting scene with the setting sun reflecting off the crosses above Saint Mary’s church while the storm clouds built in the background.

United Way says thank you for caring to Greenville, SC for pledging $13,725,000 This sign, on the Sun Trust building, says thank you for caring. In appears Greenville has collectively pledged $13,725,000 during this years campaign.

Fall colors though an office window

Fall colors though an office window in Greenville, SC This is the opposite view from yesterday’s photo. There are a lot of leaves in this view. However, the area is protected from the wind and as a result the leaves stay longer here. Plus, Greenville has many different types of trees which results in leaves falling over a long time frame.

Reflections of Fall in Greenville, SC Yesterday, at lunch, I captured these reflections of Fall. This scene is of the windows at the Bowater building next to the pedestrian bridge in Falls Park. As you can see, Greenville still has a few leaves left.

A colorful condo on Main Street in Greenville, SC I think the color choice made for these condos was a positive addition to Main Street. I should know the name of the condos however it slips my mind today.
