Dramatic marriage proposal

A billboard proposal of marriage in Greenville, SC I thought this billboard was funny, bold, and unique all at once. Hopefully she accepts his proposal. For our local reader you can see the billboard on Academy street near Washington street. For our readers from other countries I have a question: Do you see such dramatic marriage proposals in your country? If so please share some examples.

White picket fence in front of a house in Hampton Pinckney Historic Preservation Area of Greenville, SC This is another house in the Hampton Pinckney Historic Preservation Area of Greenville. I liked the white picket fence and the rocking chairs on the porch. It was wonderful weather last Sunday morning when I went for a walk and took this photo. You can see that I took the photo before they were up to get the newspaper. You can also see that most of our leaves have fallen but not all of them yet.

House with a wraparound porch in Hampton Pinckney History Preservation Area of Greenville, SC

While out for a walk Sunday morning I took this photo in the Hampton Pinckney Historic Preservation Area. What I liked about this house was the big yard and the wraparound porch. Greenville does an outstanding job of preserving historic areas especially those near downtown.

Eight minutes until nine

Eight minutes until nine on Main Street in Greenville, SC Mark the time because we met a fan Thanksgiving evening … Actually, I’m very flattered. Thursday evening we went for a stroll and met a lady from California who was considering moving to Greenville. She then said “oh I know you, I have been following your blog”. Now, how cool is that?

Pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving

Pumpkin pie prepared in a condo downtown in Greenville, SC In 1976 my wife and I moved to Brussels Belgium. That was the first year we did not join the extended family at my Grandma’s house for Thanksgiving. However, I did call and visit. When Grandma realized that the Belgium’s did not celebrate Thanksgiving she suggested that I should take a pumpkin pie to work. That was many years ago and sadly my Grandma has passed on. However, following her advice I am sharing a pumpkin pie with the world via our Daily Photo blog. I hope you enjoy.
