October 18, 2006 - Brown Street Club

Brown Street Club in Greenville, SC We were very pleased to find out that the Brown Street Club will be opening soon. As you can see from the photo the club will be in the Brown Street Antique building. What we are pleased about is that the club will be a Jazz and Tapas bar which we enjoy. Also we are very pleased to see development continue on the downtown streets just off of Main Street.

:)
nice..shot with great light!
and talking about bars, i have no ideas. :) here i never went to the bar. The different culture makes the bar places have different meaning. There are 2(maybe 3) famous bar streets in Shanghai. Now i have the ideas to take some photos about them :P

Tanty, we will most likely visit a couple of times a month. There are so many opportunities to eat out we have to spread it around. We really enjoy the Tapas eating out experience.

Olivier, thank you.

Jing, in the US bars are often combined with restaurants. The Brown Street Club will combine music (Jazz), food (Tapas style), and drinks in a safe atmosphere where couples are the norm. In every city here certainly are bars which are the opposite. I look forward to your photos but please don’t go anywhere dangerous.

Carolos, I agree.

Hello. I’m a jazz and blues singer. I will be performing at the Brown Street Club this coming Sunday, March 18th, from 6:30 until 9:30 pm. My repertoire is about 85% jazz standards, 15% blues. This is more than a decent place, and certainly is not for couples only. They intend to attract business people in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s. It is safe, sophisticated, stylish, and has great food offerings in their tapas and entrees menu. They have had a great first three days, because so many have heard about it and watched it under construction. It’s the kind of place women can feel free to come to alone even. Come by this Sunday and hear the songs of Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Anita O’Day, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, etc. We’re going to have a great time!
